Summer Observership

The QRME Summer Observership enables Griffith University health students to gain exposure to the practice of medicine in a clinical setting providing the opportunity to further their personal and professional development.

The programs aim is to provide students with an opportunity to experience regional and rural Queensland, gain fantastic hands-on learning experiences, and meet some awe-inspiring rural practitioners.

To enable more students to participate in the Summer Observerships, placements run for a duration of two weeks and typically occur in the two weeks before Christmas and two weeks after Christmas.

The Observership placements sites for 2021 are yet to be finalised but a list of previously utilised placements sites are listed on the right hand side of this page.

Face to face information sessions the summer Observerships in 2021 will be run at both the Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast, so keep an eye on your university email account for more details of these in the coming months.
