LittleLook

What is Littlelook?

LittleLook is designed to involve students during their pre-clinical years, offering them the opportunity to explore the unique aspects of rural placement sites and the communities that support them.

Through sponsorship to attend rural conferences such as the Red Ant Round-Up and Gundy Medical Muster, along with other educational activities, LittleLook actively engages students in rural communities. This provides them with valuable exposure to rural healthcare while fostering a long-term interest in rural and remote medicine.

Each year, the LittleLook program hosts information sessions and site visits to the rural locations available through the program.

Summer Observerships

The LittleLook program also offers two-week Summer Observerships at various LongLook rural sites, including Beaudesert, Dalby, Kingaroy, Stanthorpe, and Warwick. These placements provide students with an in-depth experience of rural medical practice, allowing them to immerse themselves in the day-to-day realities of rural healthcare. The Summer Observerships continue to be in high demand, with more applications received than available placements, reflecting the growing interest in rural medical training and experience.
