Two new health workforce reports delivered for Jobs Queensland
We are pleased to share two important new reports developed for Jobs Queensland in partnership with Toowoomba and Surat Basin Enterprise (TSBE): the Toowoomba Region Health Industry Environmental Scan and the Health Industry Workforce Development Plan – Toowoomba SA4 Region.
Together, these reports provide a strong evidence base for understanding the region’s current workforce challenges and future opportunities across hospitals, medical services, allied health and aged care. They highlight the importance of local training pathways, workforce attraction and retention, and a coordinated “Grow Your Own” approach to building a sustainable regional health workforce.
This work was a true collaboration. We are proud to have partnered with TSBE, with delivery supported by PerformanceProConsulting, Merrilyn Strohfeldt and her team — a great collective effort.
These reports are an important step forward for the region — and while they mark real progress, there is still much more work to do.
