ARC-accredited Advanced Life Support Level 1 course

Introduction

RuralMedEd is accredited by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) to deliver Advanced Life Support Level 1 (ALS1) courses. ALS1 covers the core knowledge and skills required in the ‘Chain of Survival’ including:

recognition and management of the deteriorating patient;
administration of the basic and advanced life support algorithms as per the ANZCOR guidelines;
safe and effective use of a defibrillator (AED and/or manual defibrillator);
effective team work and membership.

This course is delivered as a hybrid of both online learning as well as face-to-face hands-on simulation training.  Upon successful completion of the course candidates will receive a certificate valid for 4 years from the date of issue.
