Perform Peripheral Intravenous Cannulation

This interactive one-day course is designed to provide registered nurses, medical technicians and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practitioners with the knowledge and skills to safely undertake peripheral cannula insertion, monitoring, and care in the primary setting.
This notionally accredited unit of competency is delivered as Perform Peripheral Intravenous Cannulation I HLTPHS009

The learning involves:

 To obtain a Statement of Attainment for HLTHPS009 supervised work placement must be undertaken. Students who demonstrate competence of skill at the one-day practical workshop will receive a logbook for completion of the unit of competency.
